Zack had a great night. He is stable and resting...and this morning's chest x-ray shows that his lungs are improving! He is currently receiving another blood transfusion (he'll receive daily transfusions during ECMO treatment)...and a volunteer harpist is in his room playing for him.

Zack I heard that you had a harpist playing music for you What no ACDC!! I would have you pegged for hard rock. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better, positive thoughts and prayers are always a plus...kisses to you and mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work. Love Carol Zammit

Hi Zack and Maria, We have a candle going for you both, you with two of the most beautiful smiles in the world (hiding great humor). I think the candle is to the patron saint of children but I might have my Spanish mixed up. Maybe it is the patron saint of Dorritos! Hugs,

Zack right on dude, stay strong. Have fun rocking the Buffet with Miguel.

Mia....that's such good news. Miss you and sending you both warm thoughts and many hugs.

Hi Zack. Well I have to admit a harpist is nice, but some loud Green Day rock is better. Thinking of of you, and waiting to watching some ND football in a few weeks.

Hi guys:

We're thinking of both of you from San Francisco. We're going to be in Portland next Wednesday, so please let me know if we can bring anything up for you -- or if you're up for a quick visit! Maria, you can reach me on my cell at (415) 902-1934.

--kate and aaron and coco, too

I hope you are feeling better. I also want to tell you something that you might have already been told by Gaelan. You know those nerf darts, well Gaelan found out that if you put one in a section of 1 half inch pvc piping it makes a perfect blowgun. And if you tape three of those together you have a triple sum it all up THEY ARE TOTALLY COOL

I'm praying for you every day and I have my folks back in NJ praying for you as well. I have a good feeling that this is the one big hump you are going to have to get through, and from here on in you are going to have smooth sailing. I can't wait till we can sit around and watch a movie together in the fall. You are a great kid and this whole thing is so unfair.

Your Friend

Chris (Gabe's dad)

Here it goes. I decided to make a quick list of fun stuff we can do when you visit San Francisco next:
Here it goes:
1. Visit 6 beaches in 6 hours (A new record)
2. Pancakes at the Millbrae Pancake House
3. Giants game where they win of course.
4. Miniature golf and a boat ride
5. Go find Mrs. Hansen and tell her how smart you turned out
6. Go see the new Batman movie
7. Shoot some archery in Golden Gate Park (if I can find the place)
8. Play some crazy 8s in a local bar (so I can get a beer, I'll be pretty thirsty after all the other stuff)
9. Drive by the hospital you went to when you fell off the cliff and promise never to go in there.
10. and Eat one hard boiled egg
How's that for some good motivation to get to SF as fast as you can.

Hi Zack!

What color is a burp?

Come on, lame jokes are COOL.

Why did Tigger look in the toilet?

He was looking for Pooh!

OK, last one...

What do you get when you cross a dog with a phone?

A Golden Receiver!

Love, Samantha Martin (Crazy Courtney's friend)
